Eligibility

  • Indian residents with 100% vision impairment.

Required Documents
  • A photocopy of visual impairment certificate issued by an eye hospital or a medical practitioner (with at least an MBBS degree). 
  • The certificate should mention the traveller’s complete loss of sight in both eyes. 
Discount
  • 50% of the basic Economy class fare.

This is applicable in all sectors within India.

Valid up to one year from the date of issuance.

Advance purchase of ticket  

Travellers using this discount must buy tickets at least 3 days before departure.

Children 

No additional discount on purchase of tickets for children.

Infants
  • Children under two years of age will be considered infants. 
  • An infant can travel at INR 1250 on each coupon. Additional taxes shall apply. 
  • No discount is permissible on second or more infants.
Ticket updates

You can change the ticket date/flight or request cancellation and refund for a fee.

Additional info
  • Tickets are non-refundable if the passenger does not show up at time of the flight. 
  • Concessionary fares are applicable on Air India flights only.
  • Concessionary fares are not applicable on Air India Express codeshare domestic flights.

  • Differently abled people who reside in India, suffering from locomotor disability to an extent of 80% and above, are eligible for this concession.

  • Kyphosis
  • Muscular dystrophy 
  • Amputees

The following documents are required for concession

  • Certificate issued by a Chief District medical officer or a board constituted by a government hospital 
  • Please note that such tickets cannot be booked online. Please visit your nearest Air India office for assistance.

Date/flight change, cancellation, and refund

You’re allowed to change your flight or cancel your ticket, and your amount will be refunded after the applicable charges are deducted.

Additional information
  • If a traveller presents relevant ID/documents at the check-in counters or boarding gate, boarding will be allowed, and the basic fare will be forfeited while the tickets will become non-refundable (only taxes will get refunded).
  • Concessionary fares are applicable on Air India flights only.
  • Concessionary fares are not applicable on Air India Express flights or codeshare domestic flights.

  • Cancer patients travelling for medical check-ups or treatment.
  • Patient should be a resident of India.
Required documents

Travellers need to submit an application to the nearest Air India office with a supporting certificate issued by a cancer hospital or institute.

A discount of 50% on the basic fare in select class of travel.

The travel should be between the patient’s city of residence and treatment. This is applicable within India and India-Nepal sector.
