You can book one-way, round-trip, and multi-city travel for all Air India destinations, for up to nine passengers, including adults and children. The number of infants should not exceed the number of adults in the booking.

You can book flights up to 361 days in advance. Domestic flights can be booked anytime until two hours before scheduled departure. International flights can be booked until four hours before the scheduled departure time.

Yes, you can use the multi-city option to make bookings for more than one city.

No, the Air India app requires a confirmed booking.

The following payment methods are accepted while booking using the app:

  • Credit cards - American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Diners/Discover Club, and JCB
  • Other payment methods - Internet Banking, RuPay cards, e-wallets, UPI, and EMI options.

Yes, you can use your credit card to book tickets for any passenger flying with us. However, the passenger must carry a photocopy of both sides of the credit card used for booking, signed by the cardholder authorizing the use of the card for the purchase of the ticket.

For security reasons, the only first four and last four digits of the card should remain visible. Please strike out the middle six digits and the security CVV.

If the passenger is unable to present the photocopy at the time of check-in, Air India reserves the right to deny boarding.

No, Air India accepts only one credit card per transaction.

If your payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email and email for Itinerary receipt. You can also view the status of your booking from My Trips on the home screen. 

You can get your e-ticket by clicking on Manage Booking on our website or app. Enter your details and the ticket will appear on the screen. You can send the ticket to your inbox. Do check your spam folder in case the ticket misses your inbox. If the problem persists, please contact our customer support.

Yes, you don’t need to pay for the booking to review flight availability and fares. You will only be asked to make a payment once you complete your booking.

Unfortunately, no, a refund is not possible. Fares are dynamic and change frequently. Similarly, if the fare goes up, we will not charge you the additional amount (unless there is a directive to levy charges from airports, government authorities, or another agency).

 

Yes, the fares that are displayed while you book your tickets are inclusive of taxes. If an additional tax is introduced during the period of your booking and travel date, you will be notified of the charge, and it will be collected at the check-in counter.

If you book your ticket using credit or debit cards, a transaction fee will be collected by your bank. 

Please ensure you have entered the correct six-character PNR, also called the booking reference number. The PNR must be associated with an active travel segment for retrieval. Also ensure the last name entered exactly matches at least one name on the ticket.

Yes, you can cancel your ticket and request a refund using our app. The Cancel and Refund option is available for online bookings issued after 25 May 2023 on our website and mobile app. Tickets booked before that will be refunded offline. Please send an email to https://care.airindia.in/s/contactsupport to initiate your refund. 

Yes, you can rebook your ticket on our app or website. This is applicable for all bookings made after 25 May 2022.

To rebook there must be an active segment in the booking. 

For domestic travel, tickets booked more than seven days prior to commencement of travel can be cancelled within 24 hours of booking without penalty. Tickets booked less than seven days before commencement of travel are subject to cancellation fees. Bookings with a “no-show” segment cannot be rebooked online, please contact customer support.
