Air India remains committed towards ensuring the safety and well-being of all its customers. As we continue to closely monitor the geo-political situation, we urge customers to refer to Air India’s official channels for updates and cooperate with the ground staff at the airport to ensure a safe, smooth, and hassle-free journey.

Which airports are impacted?

Following a notification from aviation authorities on continued closure of multiple airports in India, Air India flights to and from these 9 airports - Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot are being cancelled till 0529 hours on 15 May. However, this is an evolving situation, and we request customers to check our official social media handles for latest updates.

What to expect at the airport?

In line with the orders from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security to enhance security measures at airports across the country, customers are advised to arrive at their respective airports at least three hours prior to scheduled departure to ensure smooth check-in and boarding. Check-in closes 75 minutes before departure.

As per the advisory issued by Delhi airport, customers should prepare for additional time at security checkpoints and cooperate with the airline and security staff for smooth processing. We advise all passengers to check their flight status on our website before heading to the airport.

Cancellations and rescheduling of flights

In light of these unforeseen disruptions to flight schedules, Air India is offering customers with valid tickets for the impacted routes, a one-time waiver on rescheduling charges or a full refund for cancellation till such time that the airports remain closed.

Our Contact Centre can be reached on 011-69329333 / 011-69329999 if you are looking for clarifications. Our contact centre is experiencing high call volumes, and in some cases, it may take longer to connect. Rest assured, we are here to support you.
