Cabin Baggage or Carry-on Allowances

Planning to fly with us soon? Then, here’s what you need to know about what is permitted onboard and what is not. You can bring one carry-on bag and one additional small personal item, such as a handbag for your devices, that must fit under the seat in front of you.

To avoid any hassle, please check the dimensions, weight, and items allowed onboard before packing.

As per Indian government security regulations, passengers are entitled to bring one piece of carry-on bag within the limitations below:

Note: 

  • Passengers may carry only one piece of hand baggage in compliance with Indian security regulations (ref. BCAS “One Hand Baggage Rule”, Circular 6/2000, dated 24 Feb 2000).
  • This applies to all classes of travel, regardless of Maharaja Club or STAR Alliance frequent flyer status, for both international and domestic flights.
  • a) Any baggage in addition to your cabin baggage and personal item, or carry-on baggage beyond the allowed size and weight limit, will need to be checked in.
    b) You will have to pay an additional charge if the combined weight of the baggage exceeds your free baggage allowance or maximum size limits. The charges are as follows:
    • International: USD 75
    • Domestic: INR 3000

     

In addition to one piece of cabin baggage, you may also carry one of the following personal items, subject to security regulations, provided these are able to fit under the seat in front of you and do not weigh more than 3 kg /6lb :

  • Ladies’ handbag or purse or small waist pouch* or
  • Binoculars or camera or camera bag* or
  • Laptop/notebook in a bag* or
  • Overcoat/wrap or
  • Rug/blanket or
  • Umbrella (folding kind only) or
  • Medicines required onboard, such as inhalers or
  • Reasonable amount of reading material
  • A small amount of duty-free goods (where permitted**)

For passengers flying with infants:

  • Food for the flight
  • Feeding bottles
  • Carry-on tote for food and bottles

For passengers requiring assistance:

  • Collapsible wheelchair
  • Crutches or braces
  • Walking stick

*The maximum dimensions for these bags are 40 cm/15 in x 30 cm/11 in x 20 cm/7 in each . If your item exceeds the total dimension of 90 cm/ 35 in (the length, width and height combined), it will be counted as part of your standard cabin baggage allowance. You will then be required to check in either your cabin bag or the additional item.

**Alcoholic beverages are permitted in carry-on baggage only when purchased from the Airport Security Hold Area. They should be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a maximum capacity not exceeding 1 litre. The indicative size of the 1-litre bag is20 cm/7 in x 20 cm/7 in or 25 cm/9 in x 15 cm/ 5 in or equivalent. The containers must fit comfortably within the bag and must be fully closed. In cases where passengers are transferring from international to domestic flights, this may not be allowed as cabin baggage.

液体、エアロゾル、および気体（LAGs）

機内持込手荷物には、100 ml を超える液体・エアロゾル・ジェル類を持ち込まないようにしてください。これらに該当する品目の例は以下のとおりです。

  • 飲料
  • シャンプー、歯みがき粉、日焼け止め、保湿クリームなどの洗面用具
  • ヘアジェルおよびスプレー
  • 液体状の化粧品、または同様の粘度をもつその他の品目
  • 処方箋付きの薬や吸入器、乳児用食品は例外です。ただし、これらの品目は透明で再封可能な 1 リットルのビニール袋に入れて携行する必要があります。また、安全確保のため、定められた保安検査およびセキュリティチェックに従っていただく必要があります。

電池

  • 電気機器または電子機器用の電池セルは、機内持込手荷物として携行できます。
  • ポータブル電子機器用を含む予備または裸のリチウムイオン電池は、機内持込手荷物のみに収納しなければなりません。
  • リチウム金属電池の場合、リチウム金属の含有量は 2 g を超えてはなりません。
  • リチウムイオン電池の場合、定格ワット時量は 100 Wh を超えてはなりません。
  • モバイルバッテリーは予備電池とみなされます。短絡を防ぐため、1 個ずつ個別に梱包する必要があります。お持ち込みいただける予備電池は最大 2 個までです。

キルパン（インド国内線のみ）

インド国内線にご搭乗のお客様は、ご本人がキルパンを身につけることが認められています。 キルパンは、以下のサイズ制限を満たさなければなりません。

  • 刃の長さは 15.24 cm（6 inches）を超えてはなりません。
  • （柄を含む）全長は 22.86 cm（9 inches）を超えてはなりません。

注：国際線、および国際線ターミナルの Security Hold Area（SHA）から運航される国内線では、キルパンを身につけたり、機内持込手荷物として携行したりすることは認められていません。

機内持込手荷物での危険物／禁止品

お客様は、危険物、不安全物、または禁止品を機内持込手荷物の中に入れないようにする責任があります。 これには以下が含まれます。

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 7
  • リチウム電池駆動のセルフバランス型デバイス
  • ドローン（Nano、micro、small のうち重量が 2 kg/ 4lb までのものは機内持込手荷物として携行可能）
  • Remotely Piloted Aircraft System（RPAS）
  • Unmanned Aircraft System（UAS）
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicle（UAV）

米国行きフライトにおける粉末状物質および火葬遺灰

粉末状物質とは、小麦粉、砂糖、挽いたコーヒー、香辛料、粉乳（乳児用粉ミルクなど）、化粧品などの固形物を粉砕、粉砕、または細分化することによって生じる細かな乾燥した粒子を指し、固まったり、粒状になったり、圧縮された粉末も含みます。

米国国土安全保障省の TSA は、米国各地への渡航時に、機内持込手荷物での粉末状物質の携行を認めています。 ただし、以下の条件が適用されます。

  • 機内持込手荷物には、医薬品の粉末状物質、乳児用粉ミルク、人の遺灰（最大 350 ml 以上も可）を入れることができます。
  • 適切に封がされた Secure Tamper Evident Bag（STEB）に入った免税品の粉末容器は、保安検査場を通過できる場合があります。
  • 粉末状物質は、数量にかかわらず受託手荷物に入れ、航空機の貨物室で輸送することができます。

米国行きフライト（TSA による検査）：最終出発地がアメリカ合衆国外であるフライトでは、機内持込手荷物に入っている 350 mL/12 oz を超える粉末状物質は、中央の保安検査場で追加検査の対象となります。内容物を確認できない場合、その粉末状物質は客室への持ち込みが認められません。不要な粉末類は受託手荷物に入れてください。

火葬された遺体（遺灰）：機内持ち込み手荷物および受託手荷物として許可されています。機内持ち込みの場合、骨壺はX線透過性（例：木製、プラスチック製、非鉛ライニングのセラミック製）でなければなりません。TSA officers は容器を開封しません。X線検査で中身が確認できない場合は、保安検査場を通過できず、追加検査の後、受託手荷物として預ける必要が生じることがあります。
