Air India eVoucher Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Voucher Terms”) govern access or use by you (“you”, “your”, “user”) of the vouchers (“Voucher”) provided by Air India Limited (“Air India”, “our”, “us”), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, having its registered office at Block-4, Vatika One on One, Sector-16, NH-48, Industrial Estate (Gurgaon), Gurgaon, Industrial Estate, Haryana, India, 122007.

These terms and conditions are in addition to and not in derogation of our standard Terms and Conditions/Conditions of Carriage as specified on our website  at https://www.airindia.com/in/en/terms-and-condition.html and our privacy policy, available at https://www.airindia.com/in/en/privacy-policy.html.

1.  The validity of the Voucher is as stated in the Voucher. The validity of this Voucher cannot be extended under any circumstance. You acknowledge that you will not be compensated in any manner for any lapsed or unused amount under a Voucher

2.  The Vouchers issued by Air India are valid exclusively for the services of Air India.

3.  The Voucher will be used in the same currency in which it was originally issued.

4.  This Voucher can be used for purchase of any Air India product or service like tickets, pre-paid excess baggage,seats, from Air India's website or mobile app as a form of payment but cannot be used for availing services which are provided in partnership with any third-party service providers e.g. travel insurance.

5.  Voucher cannot be redeemed through any travel agency. If travel agents are found using the Voucher, the booking will be cancelled, and no refund will be issued.

6.  Vouchers cannot be redeemed for group travel.

7.  Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be resold. Any unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation of the Voucher without compensation.

8.  Vouchers cannot be redeemed through any offline channel, such as a call centre, customer service centre or airport ticketing centre.

9.  In case of a transaction failure, while making the payment through an Air India Voucher, the amount will be automatically refunded to the same Voucher balance within twenty-four (24) hours of failure of such transaction.

10. Vouchers can be used for any category of fares. Voucher can be combined with any offer, such as a discount, cashback, or promotion, offered on Air India’s website, www.airindia.com.

11. Multiple vouchers (up to a maximum of three (3)) can be combined and used in a single transaction. If three (3) vouchers are used, the value of the third voucher must meet or exceed the remainder payment amount. Otherwise, only two (2) vouchers can be used along with other mode of payment to meet the remainder payment amount.

12. Other modes of payment like credit cards can be used along with the redemption of the Voucher for the balance payments if any, but the voucher can only be redeemed on the Air India website and mobile app.

13.  In case the value of the purchase exceeds the value of the Voucher, the difference shall be payable by you. 

14. In case of cancellation of purchase made using the vouchers within the validity period, the amount deducted from the voucher will be reversed to the same voucher which was used at the time of making the respective purchase.

15. In the event of partial redemption, the remaining balance will stay in the Voucher until the validity period ends and can be used for future transactions. No refunds or credit notes will be issued for the unused portion of the Voucher.

16. Voucher cannot be sold, bartered, or exchanged for cash/goods/services. Any unlawful attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation of the Voucher without any compensation whatsoever.

17. Air India will not be responsible if the Voucher is used without your permission and you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all details provided to you in relation to the Voucher. You understand that we may choose to withdraw, amend, replace, extend, suspend, limit, or cancel any Voucher at any time at our sole discretion, without any notice and liability to you.

19.  You shall indemnify, defend, and hold Air India, its affiliates, and their officers, associates, successors, assigns, licensors, employees, directors, agents, and representatives, harmless from and against any direct or indirect losses, actions, damages, penalties, costs and expenses, claims, demands, lawsuits, judicial proceedings, (including, without limitation, from all damages, liabilities, settlements, costs, and attorney's fees) arising from or relating to:

  • any act, commission or omission, error, misrepresentation, misconduct, negligence, fraud, forgery, dishonesty, violation attributable to you and/or your personnel/agents/representatives, or any third party who may use your account, your access to and use of the Voucher, and your use of the Voucher in violation of these Voucher Terms.
  • contravention of any applicable law; and
  • any claim from any authority or any third party as a result of any action or inaction on your part, including but not limited to a breach of these Voucher Terms or any acts committed beyond the scope of these Voucher Terms.
  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, neither Air India nor any of its affiliates or related parties shall have any liability to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or any loss of revenue or profits arising under, directly or indirectly, or relating, in any manner whatsoever, to these Voucher Terms, including any action taken by any authority.
  • Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, Air India’s maximum aggregate liability to you under the Voucher Terms or otherwise for any loss in connection with the Platform or the Voucher shall be limited to the value of the Voucher.

20.  These Voucher Terms shall be construed by and governed in accordance with the laws of India, and the courts of Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them.

21.  Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with or relating to these Voucher Terms or their breach, termination, or invalidity hereof shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Delhi in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for the time being in force, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference in this paragraph.

22.  Within thirty (30) days of the issue of a notice of dispute, Air India and you shall mutually agree on the appointment of a sole arbitrator. If such mutual agreement is not arrived at within the aforesaid thirty (30) days period, Air India and you shall appoint such sole arbitrator in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

23.  The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Delhi, and the arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in the English language.

24.  Air India/You agree to keep the arbitration confidential and not disclose to any person, other than those necessary to the proceedings, any information, transcripts, or awards unless required by applicable law. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on us/you hereto.

25.  Air India/You hereto agree that our/your consent for the resolution of the dispute through arbitration shall not preclude or restrain you/us from seeking suitable injunctive relief in from relevant courts.

26.  The cost of arbitration shall be borne in a manner by us/you as determined by the arbitrators. In the meantime, Air India/you shall bear Air India’s/your own cost for the arbitration which shall be reimbursed as per the directions in the arbitral award.

27.  Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, nothing in these Voucher Terms shall preclude any of your rights under applicable laws.
