Air India earns recognition as the ‘Most Improved Airline’ at APEX Awards

Air India’s recent recognition at the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Global EXPO in Los Angeles, as the ‘Most Improved Airline’ and acknowledgement as a Four-Star Global Airline, marks a milestone moment in our transformation journey. This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our customers. The APEX Awards are based on over one million passenger votes on flights across over 600 airlines, with the process overseen by an independent administrator. 

Over the last three years, Air India has been progressively working towards improving its product and service and this award bears testimony to the same. From placing one of the largest aircraft orders in the global aviation industry of 570 aircraft to investing USD 400 million in upgrading its existing fleet, Air India is working towards modernising its fleet as part of the Vihaan.AI transformation programme. Air India has also been working towards elevating the flying experience with an award-winning mobile app, upgraded cabin interiors, gourmet meals, signature soft products including new chinaware, glassware, bedding and amenity kits.

Air India CEO & MD Campbell Wilson shared the recognition with frontline employees and acknowledged them for their hard work and dedication. In a heartfelt message to all employees, he said, “Though the recognition of progress is very welcome, especially after some difficult times, we all acknowledge that we still have more work to do. We have already elevated standards considerably but must now work on being more consistent and keep pushing not just to be better, but to be the equal of anyone and ultimately a model that others benchmark to.”

Looking ahead with gratitude and renewed purpose, Air India continues its journey towards becoming a truly world-class airline with Indian warmth.
