Air India expands iCoupon services to enhance convenience for customers in Europe and North America

Air India has announced the expansion of iCoupon’s services rollout across Europe and North America for customers travelling to major destinations including London, New York and Chicago. With this service, customers can avoid long queues and avail compensation by simply scanning their boarding pass to redeem meal vouchers in case of unexpected flight delays. This helps provide a hassle-free experience to the customer during a stressful situation triggered by unavoidable disruptions.

Air India will adopt iCoupon’s standard digital meal vouchers solution, which means that travellers will receive swift and seamless compensation in case of disruptions. They can scan their boarding passes at participating outlets, to redeem against refreshments of their choice, for flight delays exceeding 120 minutes. They will be notified on SMS and email, alongside help and guidance of how and where to use their vouchers.

This initiative was launched as part of a pilot phase in May 2024, for passengers travelling to and from three major UK airports: London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and Birmingham. This service is now available across Europe and will be progressively rolled out in North America in the coming months. Customers can simply scan their boarding passes at participating outlets, to redeem against refreshments of their choice, for flight delays exceeding 120 minutes. Customers will be notified on SMS and email, alongside help and guidance of how and where to use their vouchers.

Air India’s iCoupon service is another step towards embracing digital-first initiatives that make services accessible and convenient.
