Invitations are sent at Air India's sole discretion via email or WhatsApp/SMS communication or other contact details associated with your reservation. You cannot request one; eligibility and criteria are determined solely by Air India.

Eligibility is at Air India's sole discretion. Customers cannot request invitations, and criteria for eligibility are determined by, and may be modified from time to time by, Air India as it deems fit pursuant to its internal protocols. Invitations go to the email or WhatsApp/SMS communication or contact linked to your reservation. Invitations are issued to specific reservations and are non-transferable. Invitations issued to eligible customers are valid for a limited time and can be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Invitations expire 24 hours after delivery or when the maximum number of Qualifying Flight Changes have been claimed for a particular flight, whichever comes first. Air India may withdraw or modify the invitation (including flight options or Voucher amounts) before the customer places a request for Flight Change pursuant to an invitation.

Follow the instructions in the invitation via the link either in your email or WhatsApp/SMS communication. Requests through service desks, contact centers, or agencies won't work. Act fast - invitations expire in 24 hours or when limits are reached.

Air India modifies only the specified flight segments for relevant passengers who opt for a Qualifying Flight Change. No change fees or fare differences apply. You'll get confirmation and Vouchers within 7 business days.

Yes, fully transferable, but not for sale, barter, or resale. Air India may verify transfers and cancel bookings if fraud is found.

Air India will not be responsible if the Voucher is used without your permission and you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all details provided to you in relation to the Voucher. You understand that we may choose to withdraw, amend, replace, extend, suspend, limit, or cancel any Voucher at any time at our sole discretion, without any notice liability to you, and Air India will not be liable for any losses, claims or damages arising from or relating to such action.

No, Vouchers can only be redeemed on the Air India website (www.airindia.com) or Air India mobile app for eligible purchases.

1. Air India (hereinafter "Airline," "We," "Us," or "Our") may, in its sole discretion, contact customers with an invitation to request modification of their confirmed flight reservation by selecting an alternative flight from a list of eligible flights provided by Air India (“Qualifying Flight Change”). When Air India accepts your request for a Qualifying Flight Change, the flight combination and date selection of each passenger linked to the reservation will be modified as per the selection, and each passenger associated with the reservation (excluding infants) will receive a Voluntary Flight Change Voucher in the amount disclosed in the Voluntary Flight Change Invitation, in each case, subject to these terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility Criteria

• Voluntary Flight Change Invitations are issued by Air India in Air India's sole discretion
• Eligibility of flight reservations is determined entirely by Air India
• Air India reserves the right to not disclose the criteria or basis for eligibility determination
• Customers cannot request Voluntary Flight Change Invitations, they are issued at Air India's discretion

3. Invitation Validity and Availability

• Voluntary Flight Change Invitations are issued for a limited time only and on a first-come, first-served basis
• Invitations expire 24 hours after delivery or when the maximum number of eligible Qualifying Flight Changes on a particular flight that may be accepted by Air India is reached, whichever comes first
• Alternative flights are subject to availability at the time of acceptance
• Air India reserves the right to withdraw any Voluntary Flight Change Invitation at any time prior to any Qualifying Flight Changes being made by Air India
• Air India reserves the right to modify invitation details, including eligible flight options and Voucher amounts, prior to any request for Flight Change being made by the customer pursuant to the invitation

4. Invitation Delivery

• Voluntary Flight Change Invitations will be delivered to the email or WhatsApp/SMS communication or contact information associated with your flight reservation
• Invitations are non-transferable and any requests for Flight Change pursuant to such invitations may only be made by the customer or authorized representative of the primary passenger
• Air India may contact passengers through alternate means if deemed necessary for service delivery

5. Process

• Upon receiving a Voluntary Flight Change Invitation, customers will be provided with eligible flight options and the corresponding Voucher amount for each passenger on the reservation
• To request a Qualifying Flight Change , customers are required to follow the instructions provided in the Voluntary Flight Change Invitation
• A Qualifying Flight Change may only be submitted through the method(s) specified in the invitation
• Requests cannot be submitted through other means, including Air India service desks, contact centers, offline channels, booking offices, or travel agencies 
• Air India reserves the right to reject a request for a Qualifying Flight Change, including on the basis of expiry of the invitation or if the limit for eligible Qualifying Flight Changes for a particular flight that may be accepted by Air India has been reached.

6. Authorization and Consent

• By requesting a Qualifying Flight Change , customers authorize Air India to immediately modify their flight reservation as outlined in the invitation
• For multi-passenger reservations, the customer requesting a Qualifying Flight Change  pursuant to the invitation represents that they have obtained consent from all other passengers on the reservation
• All passengers on the modified reservation are deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions upon placing a request for the Qualifying Flight Change 
• Air India shall not be responsible for any disputes arising from modifications made without consent of all affected passengers

7. Confirmation of Acceptance

• Air India will send confirmation of the accepted Qualifying Flight Change  to the contact information associated with the original flight reservation
• The Voucher(s) will be sent to the same email or WhatsApp/SMS communication that received the Voluntary Flight Change Invitation

8. Scope of Modification

• Only the flight segment(s) specified in the Voluntary Flight Change Invitation will be modified; no other segments in multi-leg itineraries will be changed
• All passengers associated with the reservation will be transferred to the new flight(s)
• No change fees or fare differences will be charged for the flight modification

9. Benefits that transfer to the new flight:

• Original fare type and associated benefits
• Maharaja club membership number (if applicable)
• Free baggage allowance (as per original ticket)
• Paid ancillary such as excess baggage, meals, sports equipment etc.

10. Benefits that will be forfeited:

• Any seat selections purchased on the original booking (for flights departing on or after the date specified by Air India)
• Pre-arranged transportation
• Any external purchase not associated with the PNR/airline

11. Seat Selection and Upgraded Services

• Customers will not retain their original seat selection but may select a new seat on the modified flight, subject to availability, through Air India's website, mobile app, or service desk
• If customers wish to purchase upgraded boarding services (if available) for the new flight, they must do so as per the terms and conditions of upgrades.

• Customers cannot claim any monetary refund for forfeited paid services; such forfeited value does not increase the Voucher amount

12. No Additional Compensation

• Customers may not claim or request any differential amount (positive or negative) beyond the Voucher specified in the Voluntary Flight Change Invitation
• No additional Vouchers, compensation, or monetary payments will be provided regardless of price differences between the original and new flights
• Air India is not responsible for any additional costs, expenses, or losses incurred by passengers as a result of the flight modification (including hotel, ground transportation, meal, or any other incidental expenses)

13. Baggage and Additional Services

• Excess baggage, sports equipment, and wheelchair requests associated with the original flight will transfer to the new flight(s)
• Original terms and conditions of the fare apply to the modified flight segment(s)
• The new flight reservation remains subject to Air India's standard Contract of Carriage and applicable terms and conditions 

14. Limitations of Liability

• The Voluntary Flight Change Invitation, and the Voluntary Flight Change program, is not, and should not be construed as or deemed to be, an offer to contract, a promise or a binding commitment on behalf of Air India or otherwise lead to any legally binding arrangement or relationship between Air India and relevant customers.
• Air India's liability for claims related to Voucher, Qualifying Flight Change or the Voluntary Flight Change program shall not exceed the monetary amount of the Voucher(s) issued  to the customer against the Qualifying Flight Change
• Air India makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to Voucher, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose

15. Sole Remedy

• If a Voucher is non-functional, not received, or found to be defective, Air India's sole obligation and customer's sole remedy shall be replacement of the Voucher
• Air India shall not be liable for consequential, incidental, indirect, or punitive losses or damages arising from or relating to the Voucher, Qualifying Flight Change, or the Voluntary Flight Change program, including the loss, misuse, or expiration of Voucher

16. Force Majeure

• This Voluntary Flight Change program is subject to force majeure conditions and other circumstances beyond Air India's control
• Air India reserves the right to suspend or terminate the program at any time without prior notice

17. Dispute Process

• Customers with disputes regarding Qualifying Flight Change , Voucher amounts, or redemption must contact Air India customer service within 14 days of the incident
• Air India will investigate and respond within 14 business days of receiving a formal complaint
• Resolution of disputes shall be governed by Air India's Contract of Carriage and applicable Indian aviation regulations

18. Modifications to Terms

• Air India reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time at its sole discretion
• Modifications will apply to Vouchers issued after the date of change; existing credit remains valid under the terms under which they were issued (unless expiration has occurred)

19. Program Suspension or Termination

• Air India reserves the right to suspend, modify, or terminate the Voluntary Flight Change Program at any time without prior notice
• Existing Vouchers issued prior to program termination will remain valid until expiration

20.Privacy and Data Protection

• Customer contact information and personal data provided for the Voluntary Flight Change Invitation process are subject to Air India's Privacy Policy
• All personal data will be handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

21. Contract of Carriage

• All flight reservations modified under this program remain subject to Air India's Contract of Carriage and Air India’s Website and Mobile App Terms and Conditions
• These terms do not modify or amend, and should not be construed as modifying or amending, in any manner whatsoever, the Contract of Carriage or the Air India Website and Mobile App Terms and Conditions
• In the event of conflict between these terms and the Contract of Carriage, the Contract of Carriage shall prevail

22. Regulatory Compliance

• This program and the issuance of Vouchers are subject to the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
• This program complies with the Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) and applicable international aviation regulations

23. Disclaimer

Air India is not responsible for:

• Failure to deliver or delays in delivering Voluntary Flight Change  Invitations
• Failures in email or digital systems resulting in non-receipt of invitations or Vouchers
• Customers' inability to access or redeem Vouchers due to technical issues
• Any indirect or consequential losses resulting from participation in this program
• Errors in email addresses or contact information provided by customers

24. Severability

• If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect

25. Customer Acknowledgment

By requesting a Qualifying Flight Change pursuant to an invitation, customers acknowledge and agree that they have:

1. Read and understood these complete terms and conditions
2. Been provided with the opportunity to review the Voluntary Flight Change  Invitation details
3. Obtained consent from all passengers on the reservation (for multi-passenger bookings)
4. Agreed that all passengers are bound by these terms and conditions
5. Waived all claims related to the original flight reservation
6. Accepted full responsibility for the modified flight reservation
7. Agreed to Air India's data handling practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy

3. Vouchers can be redeemed only in Indian currency (INR) and can be redeemed for bookings from Point of Sale India only.

4. Vouchers may be used toward:

• Purchase of new flight tickets on Air India website or Air India Mobile App
• Payment toward applicable government-imposed taxes and fees, including GST, goods and service tax, Passenger Facility Charges, and security surcharges
• Optional ancillary services such as seat selection, excess baggage (subject to availability)

5. Vouchers cannot be used toward:

• Air India vacation packages or package tours
• Third-party airline bookings (except Air India codeshare partners as designated)
• Group bookings or corporate travel programs
• Seat Upgrades
• Airline gift vouchers, gift cards, or other travel credit products
• Ground services, hotel accommodation, or car rentals

6. Voucher Issuance Timeline

• Voucher will be issued to the customer's email address within 7 business days of the successful acceptance and finalization of the Qualifying Flight Change
• Each passenger on the modified reservation (excluding infants) will receive an individual Voucher in the specified amount

7. Voucher Delivery and Distribution

• Air India will issue Voucher to the email address of the customer who has made a request for Qualifying Flight Change pursuant to the invitation
• The customer making the request for Qualifying Flight Change is responsible for distributing Voucher information and terms to all other passengers on the reservation       
• Air India is not responsible for distributing Voucher among passengers or resolving disputes regarding distribution

8. Voucher Receipt Responsibility

• Air India will not be responsible if the Voucher is used without customer’s permission and the customer is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all details provided to the customer in relation to the Voucher. The customer understands that we may choose to withdraw, amend, replace, extend, suspend, limit, or cancel any Voucher at any time at our sole discretion, without any notice to the customer, and Air India will not be liable for any losses, claims or damages arising from or relating to such action
  

9. Voucher Validity Period

• Vouchers are valid for 6 months  from the issue date
• Expired Vouchers cannot be used and will not be extended or replaced
• Customers are responsible for tracking expiration dates

10. Voucher Redemption

• Vouchers may be redeemed on Air India Website or Air India Mobile App
• Vouchers cannot be redeemed through travel agencies, online travel agencies, other third-party booking platforms, offline channels, booking offices or Call Centre
• Partial redemption is permitted; remaining balances will be maintained until full value is consumed or credit expires
• Vouchers can be clubbed with or redeemed alongside any other wallet balances.
• If the ticket value is more than the voucher value, the remaining balance can be paid only through Credit Card
• Vouchers can only be redeemed for bookings in INR

11. Voucher Transferability

• Vouchers are fully transferable to other individuals; however, Air India reserves the right to verify legitimate transfer and may request documentation.
• Transferring Vouchers for monetary consideration, bartering, or resale is prohibited
• Air India reserves the right to cancel reservations and/or collect the full fare for completed travel if evidence of illegal sale, bartering, or fraudulent transfer is discovered

12. Voucher No Cash Value or Refund

• Vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash, check, credit, or monetary payment
• If a ticket purchased with a Voucher cost less than the credit value, the remaining balance remains on credit.
•  If a ticket is cancelled or not used after purchase with a Voucher, the credit value of the ticket will be reissued as a new Voucher per Air India's standard refund policy

13. Voucher Fraud and Misuse

• Vouchers obtained through illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized means are void and will not be honored
• Air India reserves the right to cancel any reservation made using a fraudulent Voucher and to collect the full fare from the passenger
• Air India may request alternate forms of payment before permitting travel if fraudulent activity is suspected
• Deliberate misuse of Voucher may result in forfeiture of credit and potential legal action

14. Modifications to Terms

• Air India reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time at its sole discretion
• Modifications will apply to Vouchers issued after the date of change; existing credit remains valid under the terms under which they were issued (unless expiration has occurred)
