Flying Air India

Air India has introduced weekly flights to connect Amritsar (India) and Birmingham (England) for travellers. The new flights cater to the growing travel demands and connect the two cities with rich diasporic connections. Operations begin 03rd October 2022 with two flights and a third flight will commence on 17th November 2022. These additions are in lieu of restoring Air India’s leadership position in the field of international aviation.

Air India is also bringing back wide-body and narrow-body aircrafts, in addition to leasing new ones to ensure stronger connectivity for journeys to global destinations and international events. With our flights, travellers can also expect crew members to converse in Indian languages, allowing seamless and easy conversations to make your journey memorable.

With over 100 domestic and international flights every day, the Amritsar airport is one of the biggest in Northern India. The airport's capacity was increased and modernised with a new terminal, which opened in 2009. During peak hours, the terminal has a capacity to accommodate 1200 passengers per hour, there are roughly 4 million passengers per year.
