Travellers arriving by Air India international flights and connecting to Air India domestic flights will have to clear their baggage through customs and hand it over to the Air India staff waiting outside the arrival hall. Air India will make sure that your labelled baggage is transferred to the domestic destinations. Travellers arriving by Air India domestic flights and connecting to Air India international flights can just board their onward flight without worrying about their baggage. Air India will transfer their baggage for them. Travellers arriving by Air India international flights cannot carry any liquid items (including liquor bottles) as hand baggage. It can be put in the registered baggage and hand it to Air India staff for a safe transfer. Travellers arriving by Air India international flights and connecting to Air India international flights need not collect their baggage as it will be transferred internally.
