If you are flying out of Delhi with Air India soon, here is an important update for you. Starting 26 October 2025, some of Air India’s domestic flights at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport will move from Terminal 3 (T3) to Terminal 2 (T2). To note again – only some domestic flights will operate from T2, not all.
This is happening due to the ongoing terminal enlargement activities at T3 by Delhi International Airport Ltd. (DIAL) to augment international passenger capacity.

What’s changing and what’s not changing?
Domestic flights moving to T2
Always double-check your terminal before heading to the airport via the Air India website, mobile app, or reach out to our customer care team. Terminal information is also printed on your ticket for ease of access.
Travelling between terminals:
If your itinerary involves changing flights, with a change in terminal, you have the following options to transfer between T3 and T2:
How long do terminal transfers take?
Allow at least 30-45 minutes for inter-terminal transfers between T1, T2, and T3. This includes waiting time and travel time. If you have a connecting flight, factor in this transfer time when planning your arrival at the airport.
