Air India and Air India Express continue to operate scheduled flights to/from Jeddah and Muscat assessed safe for operations.
Additional non-scheduled flights have been planned to operate to and from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, Ras Al-Khaimah and Sharjah on 7 March, to fly the stranded passengers back to India.
Air India's services to Europe & North America are operating normally through safe alternative routings.

With the airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman remaining open and assessed as safe for operations, Air India and Air India Express have resumed services to and from Jeddah and Muscat.
Additional special flights are being operated to support stranded travellers.

Air India is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the Middle East and has started operating a few flights to and from Dubai and Jeddah to bring back stranded passengers giving highest priority to their safety and wellbeing.
While most of our operations to the Middle East will remain suspended till 2359 Hrs IST of 5 March 2026 after careful assessment of the current situation, Air India plans to commence its scheduled operations to and from Jeddah from 5 March:
•AI2255/2256 - Delhi-Jeddah-Delhi
•AI2251/2252 - Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai
•AI2245/2246 - Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai
Air India has also planned to operate an additional service AI909D/996D early on 5 March on the Mumbai-Dubai-Delhi route with a B777 aircraft with larger capacity to fly back stranded passengers.

In view of the continuing situation in the Middle East impacting flight operations, Air India is offering customers the option of complimentary rescheduling or full refunds on cancellation for confirmed bookings made on or before 28 February 2026 on flights to and from the Middle East, the UK and Europe for travel up to 10 March 2026.

In response to high demand amid the ongoing situation in West Asia, Air India is deploying additional capacity to Toronto, Frankfurt, and Paris (CDG - Charles de Gaulle).
From 5 to 11 March, we’re operating 3 additional flights between Delhi and Toronto.
From 7 to 10 March, we’ve added three flights between Delhi and Frankfurt, and one flight between Delhi and Paris (CDG - Charles de Gaulle).
These additional services will provide more flight options to travellers on these select routes with convenient connections beyond Delhi to destinations across Air India’s vast domestic India and Southeast Asia networks.
We continue to closely assess the situation and will add flights on these select routes beyond 11 March.

In view of the continuing situation in the Middle East, Air India has extended the suspension of all flights to and from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar until 2359 hrs IST on 2 March 2026.
Additionally, select flights to Europe scheduled on 2 March 2026 have been cancelled, along with the scheduled return legs of these flights:
• AI117: Amritsar > Birmingham
• AI151/AI152: Delhi < > Zurich
• AI157/AI158: Delhi < > Copenhagen
• AI114: Birmingham > Delhi
All other flights to North America and Europe will operate per schedule using alternative routings over available airspaces in the Middle East, which is expected to add to the flying times. Additionally, flights to New York (JFK) and Newark (Liberty International) will operate with technical stops at Rome (Fiumicino Airport).
Air India continues to closely monitor the situation and has carefully assessed the evolving circumstances across multiple parameters, including safety, security, airspace availability, and operational feasibility, before deciding on these operations for 2 March 2026. We will share updates, based on further assessments, at an appropriate time.
