Getting to JFK Airport 

Due to ongoing construction at JFK international airport’s new terminal, passengers arriving by road may encounter significant delays. The Port Authority of New York has recommended that the passengers plan and consider alternate transportation options to ensure timely arrival.

Plan ahead 

  • To help avoid delays, passengers are advised to visit JFK Airport’s official page on construction updates and learn more about how it may impact road travel, before leaving for the airport. To receive personalised updates on traffic conditions, detours, and terminal accessibility, Passengers can submit their flight and transport details.
  • If you are driving to JFK, pre-book to ensure parking and save money. Please ensure to arrive at least three hours before your scheduled flight.
  • Passengers can also use AirTrain services to reach the terminals faster and avoid traffic congestion. Additionally, to help ease congestion at the terminal entrance, JFK airport offers a free waiting area at Lefferts Boulevard station, around ten minutes away from the airport.
