City check-in facility at Metro Stations

Flying out of New Delhi? You can now save yourself the trouble of dealing with burdensome baggage by using our city check-in facility at select metro stations. Now guests flying with us on both domestic and international sectors can complete their check-in formalities and baggage drop at the concourse level of the following metro stations: 

  • New Delhi 
  • Shivaji Stadium  
  • 2 exclusive check-in counters will be operational from 07:00 to 21:00 hours (IST) (subject to operational metro timings)
    • Domestic flights check-in duration: 12 hours to 2 hours prior to the flight departure time. 
    • International flights check-in duration: 4 hours to 2 hours prior to the flight departure time. 
  • Guests can collect their boarding pass and check-in their baggage at the metro stations.
  • Guests can pay for excess baggage, preferred seats, and opt for a travel class upgrades at the counters.
  • The journey from New Delhi metro station to Airport T-3 metro station is estimated to take approximately 19 minutes, according to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. 
  • The Airport (IGI Terminal-3) Departure Level is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Airport T-3 Metro Station.
  • The boarding gates closes 20 minutes prior to the departure time. Guests are advised to be at the airport with sufficient time for security screening and immigration checks.
  • Air India bears no responsibility for any direct or consequential loss caused to any guest who miss their flight on account of any operational or unforeseen delays connected with the metro train services.
  • Special baggage will not be accepted at the metro check-in counter.
  • Guests requiring special assistance are requested to check-in at the airport counters. This includes unaccompanied minor, passengers travelling with pets and passengers with medical conditions. 

This facility is being offered to our valued passengers jointly by Air India and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation with active support from Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) and Central Industrial Security Office (CISF) officials.
